JESUS vs. LUCIFER: WHICH ONE IS FALLEN?

In Revelation 22:16 of the King James Bible, Jesus declared Himself to be the “Morning Star”:

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I AM the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

The prophet Isaiah, in Isaiah 14:12 of the King James Bible, declared Lucifer to be a fallen angel. Here is the record:

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

JESUS IS THE GREAT “I AM”

In the hearts of all Bible-believing Christians, Jesus is:

• The “I AM.”
• The “Bright and Morning Star.”
• The Emmanuel—God with us of Matthew 1:23.
• The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob of Matthew 22:32.

In John 20:28, Thomas, one of the twelve, identified Jesus as:

“My Lord and my God.”

Titus 2:13 reads:

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”

In Hebrews 1:8, the Father addresses the Son with these words:

“But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God.”

THE NIV AND ISAIAH 14:12

TO ALL BELIEVERS IN CHRIST WHO ARE LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE COPYRIGHTED 1973, 1978, AND 1984 NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION OF ISAIAH 14:12 HAS DEMOTED THE GOD OF HEAVEN TO A FALLEN ANGEL.

Here is the record:

“How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!”

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE THIS BLASPHEMOUS DESECRATION OF THE SACRED SCRIPTURES BY ASSIGNING THE FALLEN STATUS OF A REBELLIOUS ANGEL TO JESUS, WHO IS VERY MUCH THE GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH.

The New International Version took the name Lucifer out of the text—the actual angel who has fallen—and replaced it with “Morning Star,” a title of Jesus found in Revelation 22:16, asserting that the Morning Star is a fallen angel.

COMPARING THE KJV AND THE NIV

It is reasonable to compare Scriptures from the King James Bible with the same Scriptures from the New International Version.

Let us begin.

1. MATTHEW 8:29

KING JAMES VERSION

“And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? Art thou come hither to torment us before the time?”

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION

“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”

NOTICE: THE NAME “JESUS” IS MISSING FROM THE NIV TEXT.

2. DANIEL 3:25

KING JAMES VERSION

“He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION

“He said, ‘Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.’”

NOTICE THE TITLE FOR THE NAME JESUS IN THE KJV:

“THE SON OF GOD.”

The same title in the NIV is downgraded to:

“A SON OF THE GODS,”

meaning the son of a pagan god.

WILL CHRISTIANS REMAIN SILENT?

Dearly beloved Christians, do we stand by on the sidelines, allowing the divinity and dignity of Jesus to be so recklessly spoken of without a protest?

We join the apostle Paul in the protest:

“For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.”
2 Corinthians 2:17

ADMONITION

Revelation 22:18–19 declares:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.”

VERSE 19: AND ANYONE WHO TAKES AWAY FROM GOD’S WORD WILL BE DENIED ENTRY INTO HEAVEN.
