The Lord has continued to bless our missionary efforts of spreading the everlasting gospel of Revelation 14: 6, 7. We had the privilege of welcoming 4 more members into the family of God through baptism. These are precious souls for whom Christ came to bring into His kingdom.
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10.
Jesus came with the purpose of seeking those who are lost by sharing with them the good news of salvation. It is Christ’s will that His people continue in this same work. (Matthew 28:19). We have been commanded to find the souls, teach them, baptize them and then continue to disciple them to walk in the “newness of life” (Romans 6:4).
Baptism is Christ’s plan for His followers to identify with Him. It is how we publicly announce that we
now belong to Him. It is the fruit of the gospel work and it is truly a blessing to see how the Lord can work to transform the lives of those who choose to follow Him.
“Christ made baptism the entrance to His spiritual kingdom. Those who receive the ordinance of baptism thereby make a public declaration that they have renounced the world, and have become members of the royal family. Those who do this are to make all worldly considerations secondary to their new relations. Publicly they have declared that they will no longer live in pride and self-indulgence. They are bound by a solemn covenant to live to the Lord.” (Our High Calling, 157).
The weather was great and our spirits were high as Pastor David Jimenez officiated over the baptisms.
We want to welcome these newest members to the body of Christ, and we will continue praying for each
of them.
